Greetings!

This week I will be giving some product reviews:

  • Energy Gels for running.  I’ve only had GU gels so I am going to compare those with Powerbar and Clif gels.
  • Oikos Greek Yogurt!  I’ve been a Fage girl for a while and they are sending me some coupons to review their products, so maybe I’ll have a change of heart on my yogurt brand obsession!
  • Teas!  I drink quite a few cups of tea a day and so I might as well review some new ones to liven up my habit!

I had overnight oats this morning (as I did yesterday morning) and this time they were especially good!!!

I adapted them from Kath’s overnight oats and this combination was especially delicious:

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4  – 1 cup Fage greek yogurt
  • 1/4 – 1/6 cup vanilla soymilk
  • 1 tsp agave
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 banana
  • 2 & 1/2 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch salt

Oh man… this was G-O-O-D.  I think the extra yogurt and less soy milk made it especially creamy and think.  I’m definitely making this again for breakfast tomorrow!  (Maybe adding a little more pumpkin!)

I didn’t take a picture because it looked really messy…  I’ll work on making it pretty and then post tomorrow’s creation!

I’ve been reading some blogs that swear by Chia seeds but have tried several grocery stores (TJ, Meijer, Fresh Market) and have not been successful.  Do you eat Chia seeds?  Where do you get yours?  I’d prefer not to order them online.

Not sue what city you live in, but here in NYC there are a bunch of health store where you can get chia seeds, in addition to the all-wonderful Whole Foods. Chia seeds are pretty good – my mom has some so when go to visit my parents I usually throw them in a smoothie. Can’t wait to see your review on energy gels!
