Dinner & a Getting-To-Know-You Game

Whenever I say “getting to know you” I immediately think of Julie Andrews in The King & I

Anyone else or is that just me?  Well, I decided to do a little game with my dinner post today:

Four Lies & One Truth

I’m listing 5 things about myself, one of which is true.  Try and guess which one is true, and list your own four lies and a truth in a comment 🙂

I’ll also post the answer tomorrow morning but try and guess & I’ll try and guess yours!

1.  My favorite food while growing up with a PB&J sandwich

2.  I was once left behind by accident at a truck stop bathroom in Tennessee home-alone style.

3.  I’ve had an experience with runner’s trots.

4.  I lived for 3 years in a Cambodian Buddhist Wat

5.  My favorite food is bacon flavored everything, bacon cupcakes, bacon ice cream..etc

If you’re stopping by to read some of my blog, please comment 🙂  I’d love to “meet” you!

Now on to the delicious meal I made for dinner:

On Tuesdays & Thursdays I have class from 7 am to 4 pm, without a long break between any of my classes so I usually eat a ridiculously large breakfast and then snack on 2 or 3 granola/larabars/or clif bars, and then come home to an earlier dinner.

Today I felt like eggs after seeing an egg sandwich on Ashley‘s blog earlier today.  Unfortunately I had no bread 😦

So I roasted brussel sprouts and asparagus with EVOO, lemon pepper, and sea salt and scrambled 5 egg whites (I need my protein!)

I then combined the roasted veggies with the eggs in the pan and added a bit of soy sauce.  (soy sauce = love)

Haha I just started signing the King & I song in my head! Hmmm I’m guessing you don’t love Bacon so much. What was it like living in a Cambodian Buddhist Wat? Um, and if you don’t mind my asking – what is that exactly?

My 4 truths and a lie are here:
    1. I qualified for the 2010 Boston Marathon
    2. I am fluent in Spanish
    3. I have eaten both cow brain and frogs before
    4. I have jumped out of a plane voluntarily
    5. I hate snow with every fiber of my being

…ok, guessing the lie might be hard since you don’t know me, but let me give you a hint – Argentina has been tossed around as a possible honeymoon destination for the amazing ski trails… 🙂 No worries – I certainly eat no parts of cows or frogs now! Growing up I ate some weird foods because my mom’s Spanish and they have some uh – “adventurous” dishes.
